Luxury Fashion Marketplace – from idea to concept
The Archive Place had a vision to build a fashion marketplace platform that would support luxury fashion brands and contemporary designers by helping them sell their off-seasonal stock.
The philosophy behind The Archive Place was to appreciate quality, premium fashion pieces whilst celebrating the unique story of each fashion designer. The Archive Place believes that even though the season may have passed, well-crafted pieces do not devalue over time and are still destined to be a cherished keepsake for the right consumer.
Apart from creating a luxury feel around the brands, The Archive Place also aimed to add value to the supply chain of their vendors by holding inventory, arranging payments and managing the last mile delivery.
To achieve this, the marketplace required feature-rich functionality and a seamless user experience for customers, vendors and The Archive Place team.

The Archive Place is a beautiful product marketplace that allows customers to shop timeless luxury fashion items across a variety of brands and designers. The Archive Place was a 100% partner implemented marketplace solution by iCube. ICube delivered the end-to-end solution including design, front-end build, implementation and integration of 3PL for order management.
Thanks to the clean and elegant design of the marketplace, customers landing on the platform can feel the premium nature of the brands from the very first page. Intuitive navigation allows customers to easily search through multiple items and categories, filtering pieces by price and brand.
Multi-vendor capabilities of the marketplace enable the vendors to have administrative control over their products, including product information, inventory, pricing, and promotions.
Finally, The Archive Place team is perfectly equipped to manage the marketplace on their end, onboard and manage vendors, handle the product fulfilment process using a 3PL service provided by Next3PL, and arrange vendors payments via Stripe.
Result
The Archive Place is a recently launched marketplace, slowly and gradually growing their list of fashion retailers and increasing popularity among affluent consumers.
The ultimate goal of The Archive Place is to empower their community to extend the life-cycle of fashion (also reducing waste) by enabling brands to re-circulate their archive pieces.
Further down the road, the team plan to launch several initiatives designed to embed a circular and regenerative fashion model within their retail concept.
